What Herb thinks
When I Didn't Vote

By now most are aware of my feelings about this coming election. I believe the decision we make this election could possibly make the difference between national sovereignty and servitude. I base this view on my understanding of Bible prophecy and the geo-political realities our nation is facing today. As I wrote earlier, there appears to be an ominous match between prophecy and these realities. And, for me to ignore such clear and obvious signs would be sin.

Nevertheless, I still find many sincere Christians who disagree with me. Instead of focusing on the clear and present dangers I see from without, they choose to focus on the perceived dangers they see from within -- such as our government's endorsement of a Palestinian State, both candidate's association with the secretive Skull and Bones, conspiracies surrounding the events of 9/11 and our government's swift enactment of the US Patriot Act.

In defense, some challenge me to research this information. Well, I've been interested in understanding secret societies and the related mystery religions since the sixties. I've also looked into the issues surrounding the events of 9/11. And, part of my State's continuing education requirements for my professional license requires me to know the Patriot Act. So, I'm not completely in the dark on these matters.

However, this being said, I think I understand how some of those Christians who disagree with me feel. That's because, I once felt the very same way about an election. In fact, I didn't vote for George Bush Sr. when he ran for his re-election back in 1992. No, I didn't vote for his challenger Bill Clinton. I just didn't vote. And, although I don't mention my not voting, I record the reason why I didn't vote in my book.

You see, it was widely believed the administration of George Bush Sr. may have purposely used its influence to sway a 1992 election in Israel that resulted in Israel beginning down that slippery road of trading land for peace. When I discovered this bit of information, no matter what the outcome, I couldn't, with a clear conscience, vote for George Bush Sr.

As we know, Bush Sr. lost to Bill Clinton. And, in the following eight years of the spiritually asleep Clinton administration I watched as the foretold 10-horned, revived Roman Empire appeared on the international stage.

Knowing what I know now, would I still have withheld my vote? I'm not sure. But, one thing I do know is I'm glad I see things differently this election.

I'll be voting this time!!
