Sometime we need to stop for a moment to see where we are. If we don't, we can get so caught up in our going that we forget where, or why, we're going.

As you know, Fulfilledprophecy.com came into existence to fill a vacuum  - to report the news that no one else was reporting. However, that doesn't mean reporting news was my primary goal. From the start, my primary goal has been to defend the faith that was once for all delivered, and to lead as many to Jesus as I can.

Am I accomplishing this? I think I am. Each month I receive many emails from new believers thanking me for my site. You see, there are a lot of people who would like to believe, but they need some help. They've been taught naturalism in school, and they need something solid to support their faith. I believe that's why God gave us Bible prophecy.

Does that mean my understanding of recent events as they may relate to prophecy will be found correct? Like I say in my book, it's still to early to know for certain. But they could be. That's why I'm reporting them.

And even if it turns out that I'm wrong, that doesn't mean I shouldn't be doing what I'm doing. Someday the prophecies will be fulfilled. And when they are, I hope there will be somebody on the scene reporting them.

In the mean time, we have to be ready. The Bible tells us the day of the Lord will come upon this world like a thief in the night. So if it turns out I'm wrong about things, that doesn't mean we can all go back to sleep. We'll just need to re-adjust our thinking a little.

But in light of the recent bombing in Madrid, it looks even more likely I could be right. If you've been following my commentaries, or have read my book, you know I've been expecting something like this. The reason is the 10-nation WEU's Recommendation 666 gives the EU's High Representative powers to convene the Political and Security Committee in the Council in the event of an emergency. This could be occurring as I write.

Will this bombing in Spain trigger Recommendation 666? I don't know. But, it could. That's why we should all be ready for whatever comes down.
